Hello everybody, today I’m with Nicole. Can you introduce yourself to our readers?
Hello everybody my name is Nicole Pagan I’m a 22 year old fashion and portrait photographer. A creative soul that enjoy’s capturing visions inspired by my imagination & dreams. I pretend to escape from the real world every time I have my camera on my hands, It’s my kind of freedom, how I express myself. With my camera I use reality to create my own. In my work you will find an image of what escaping from the real world and entering to mine might look like. I love to capture emotions not moments and combine the female form with nature. I love the feeling of being able to execute my visions and see that image in my mind appear in my camera.
I traveled all the way from the island of Puerto Rico to Boston, Mass to pursue my dreams as a photographer. With my photography, I want to follow my heart and create art that can change how people see the world and themselves.
Did you study in any art school?
I moved from Puerto Rico to Boston, MA to study digital photography in the Center of Digital Imaging Arts @ Boston University
Do you think your hometown is a suitable place for creatives like you?
I think it is not a suitable place unfortunately, all though the’re so many amazing artist.
When and how did you get passionate with photography?
It all started 5 years ago, I had to take this photography class I didn’t even want to take and fell in love with my camera ever since.
What are your main visual influences? Do you have any favourite photographers?
One of my favorite photographers is Fashion Photographer Lara Jade.
A lot of your photos are set in the woods. Do you think there is a specific reason for this?
It is, I find the femenine body and nature so sensitive and so a like they just look so beautiful together.
What can you tell us about this work? How did it come up?
I wanted to do like a “Never ending” summer series and I wanted to incorporate different elements like antlers and the dream catcher because they are dreaming and wishing for the endless summer.
What are you working on these days?
I am working on more fashion kinds of photo shoots not dreamy like since I want to be more concentrated in fashion. I’ve been collaborating with a lot of amazing artists it had been very fun.
What about your plans for the future?
I want to be a photographer for the fashion industry and celebrities. Be in vogue and all the magazines I dream to be in.
