Hi Angelica, how are you?
Hi! I’m fantabulous thanks for asking. I’m just really excited for summer and getting ready to head off to boot camp.
Sounds great! Can you tell us anything about you?
something about me? hmm I love cheesy pick up lines! To me they’re super romantic. I’m a total romantic at heart. I believe in love at first sight and all that jazz.
Fine! Do you study? Work?
I’m going to graduate from high school in May. I don’t work.
Can you tell us anything about your passion in modeling? When did it born?
I’ve always had a secret love affair with modeling. It’s something that I always thought about but never had the courage to try. I definitely became totally infatuated once I discovered pin up models. I was probably 12 or 13 and i remembered thinking they were so beautiful. From there I religiously watched America’s Next Top Model and idolizing Tyra Banks. My passion stemmed from so many inspirations. Old hollywood mostly, Marilyn Monroe type actresses. I just always wanted to be like them.
In your opinion what are the qualities a model should have in 2012?
Modeling shouldn’t be based on beauty. In my opinion models should be innovative and creative. They should be able to produce something new each time they perform. And be able to work emotion
Do you have any favorite models?
Dorian Leigh, Twiggy, Estella Warren, and of course Tyra Banks, Gisele Bundchen, and Kate Moss.
Why them?
They have accomplished so much and transformed the industry into what it is toady while still upholding their own personal beliefs and morals.
Have you already had experience as a model?
No I haven’t.
From what kind of photo shoot you’d like to start?
I definitely want to start with a vintage pin up shoot.
Do you like vintage style? Why?
I’m in love with vintage style. I feel like its exudes sex appeal without being vulgar. Vintage style just makes you look amazing because of the cinched waists and hem lies. Its sexy without losing self respect.
Would you define yourself as a feminist?
No not a feminist. I believe in women’s rights yes but I also fantasize about being a housewife.
Do you think you’ll live forever where did you grow up, or you’ll move somewhere?
I definitely want to move somewhere closer to the beach. A beach house would be like my own barbie dream house. I doubt I’ll stay in my hometown.
The interview is almost over: what is your greatest dream?
I’ve had so many its hard to focus on just one. But I would have to say my biggest dream is to become a U.S. Marine and live my life to the fullest. There’s a quote by James Dean: “Dream as if you’ll live forever. Live as if you’ll die today.” Thats all I want to do.
No, wait. I’m curious: why do you want to become a U.S. Marine?
I know, totally different interests. I was really close minded to the option when I walked into the recruiting office but after speaking to recruiters I fell in love with the corp.
What do your parents think about this decision?
My parents are actually the ones that pushed me to go to the recruiters office. They fully support me.
