Hello! I’m quite fine, tired but fine. I can feel the last beams of sun and I’m enjoying it. How about you?
I’m doing well too, thanks. Can you introduce yourself?
That’s wonderful.
Sure! No problem. I’m Magdalena and I live in Poland. If you don’t know where this country is, I’ll tell you it’s in Europe. I’m 18 and my biggest passion in life is making dreams come true. It’s photography. I have milion of dreams of magical shots. So I’m trying to put my thoughts and emotions to my art. I hope you can see it.
When did you start to take photos?
Since I remember I’ve been taking picutres. However my real passion started when my mom as a gift gave me my first camera. It was 2 years ago. I was taking photos of nature, just normal things. Later I thought about the technique, how to make your art look more emotional. That’s how it all began.
Do you think without technique can not be achieved an exciting photograph?
I think that you have to know something about it. Just the basics. Not the whole knoledge, no! Sometimes you just need the right moment to catch amazing takes. Emotions are the ground-work and that’s all about.
Do you usually use the camera in automatic mode or manual mode?
When I didn’t know my camera so well I unfortunately took photos in automatic mode. But then I realised that it’s not about the camera but it’s about me, how I see it, how I feel it. I tried to teach myself how to change this options or focus. Now I can say with hand on my chest that I use only manual mode.
Haha ok, I didn’t want to insinuate anything! Do you use much Photoshop?
Of course! I didn’t take it like it was attack! Don’t worry. I just talk with emotions about my art. It’s because lot of my friends were against me.
Photoshop… Maybe it’s weird but I don’t use it. I told myself that I will never use it and that’s my resolution. I want to be real in every way I only can.
Are you saying that you don’t modify your photos after taking them?
They are modified but just a little bit. I change sometimes color photo into my favourite black&white photo. I add some contrast but never change the skin, the background to make it look better.
According to you, what is an artistic photo?
Photo when you create magic with help of emotion. Also when you break the rules and add something from your heart.
What do you love to portrait?
As you can see my biggest love is taking portraits of people. Their emotions are inspiration for me.
What is your best photo, in your opinion?
I really don’t know! All my photos are close to my heart. You choose my best photo, haha!
Ok, ok! I really like “Hold me”. What can you say about it?
It’s very special photo for me. I was visiting my bestfriend in her town. We decided to make something really interesting for eyes. So she took me to a trip to the lake. We rented a boat and we started our journey. It was amazing! When I look at it, I remember time which I spent with her. Magical time because she’s magical.
What are your plans for the future?
I want to be happy! That’s my only wish. But if you asking about photography I’ll tell that I don’t want to be a photographer for real. It’s my passion and I want to stay it this way. I want to be a spanish teacher or translator. :)
